Recommend some wireless headphones?

I'm in the market for wireless headphones.  I would like them to be quiet to someone who sits next to me. Basically I like to watch the Daily Show at 11pm but my gf is already sleeping by then. I would like to be considerate and get headphones so I don't disturb her with the sound of the TV. Can anyone recommend some for a reasonable price?

Re: Recommend some wireless headphones?

Ryan,

I'm not so sure about wireless headphones.  In my experience, they have been made really cheaply.  That is not to say that good ones are not out there, but I would probably try to get "wired" ones if I were you.  They are a better sonic investment, and you'll probably enjoy them more in the long run.

Thanks for the input. Fortunately I have a crawl space under my house so I'm able to put a input jack in my wall.  that's definitely a possibility

I have a pair of Sennheiser HDR-120's (they ran ~$70) that are a decent wireless headset.  They use RF so that quality is not great but it is not bad either and when listening to a TV talk show you do not really need to have the best sound quality.  I use them for the same purpose you are looking to buy headsets, when wifey goes to sleep I just pop on the headsets, however I am in a different room at the time so I am not sure how much noise might leak out of the headsets at close range.  The headphones are not noise canceling and sit somewhat flush on your ear as opposed to surrounding them, but they are comfortable enough to wear from an hour or two. -Adam

Re: Recommend some wireless headphones?

This is a great question - I'm interested in learning more about wireless headsets, so I will be watching this thread.  I am looking for something that is pretty lightweight and inexpensive.  Any thoughts/ideas?
